About TWC Implant & Dental Center

TWC Implant & Dental Center has been providing dental care to patients across Singapore since 2022, with clinics in Jurong East and Yishun in 2025. Both clinics offer dental services ranging from routine check-ups and preventive care to implants and orthodontics. A team of four dental surgeons and supporting staff provides dental care to each patient. Dr Lai Pui Li’s hospital training extends the team’s capacity to care for paediatric patients, including those with medical considerations. Services are CHAS- and Medisave-claimable where eligible, and claims are accepted from major corporate dental insurers.

Our Story

Dr Tan Wei Chong founded TWC Dental in Jurong East in 2022 after observing a recurring pattern in how patients approached dental care. Many had delayed treatment not out of indifference, but because the process felt opaque. Closing that gap shaped how the practice was built.

From its first year, the standard practice at TWC is for patients to receive a diagnosis, a written treatment plan, and a full fee discussion before anything proceeds.

In the early years, the Jurong East clinic focused on implants and general dentistry, growing its patient base through referrals and word of mouth. The Yishun clinic opened in 2025, extending the practice’s reach to patients in northern Singapore. TWC joined the CHAS scheme in 2022, making subsidised dental care available, with Medisave claimable for eligible procedures.

The team grew in stages. Dr Lai Pui Li joined in 2022, bringing hospital training in paediatric dentistry and trauma cases that expanded the clinic’s capacity to manage younger patients and those with medical complexity. Dr Jonathan Lim joined in 2024, strengthening the surgical and restorative caseload at both locations. Dr Gayathrie Nacheemuthu joined in 2025, adding over a decade of clinical experience across restorative dentistry, endodontics, and orthodontics.

The principle that shaped the practice at founding continues to shape it today: dental care that is transparent and accessible.

Our Mission

Dental discomfort should not mean waiting days for an appointment. Where clinic schedules permit during operating hours, TWC aims to see patients the same day. Both clinics operate extended emergency hours from 8am to 12am, including weekends, so that urgent care is available outside standard clinic hours.

What We Stand For

Transparent Pricing

The standard practice at TWC is for patients to receive a written treatment plan and a full fee discussion before any procedure begins. Where CHAS and Medisave apply, the team walks through the subsidy and claims process so patients have a clear picture of applicable subsidies before committing to treatment.

Patient Comfort

Dentists take time to explain what a procedure involves before beginning, and options are available for patients who experience dental anxiety. No patient is expected to simply go along with a recommendation they do not fully understand.

Continuous Learning

TWC Implant & Dental Center dentists regularly fulfil their Continuing Professional Education requirements and maintain their registration with the Singapore Dental Council. The front desk team and dental nurses receive biannual training sessions led by senior nurses to maintain consistent service and communication standards across both clinics.

Accessible Care

Both clinics are CHAS-accredited and Medisave-eligible for applicable procedures. The clinic also accepts claims from major corporate dental insurers, including AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Income, HSBC Life, and Tokio Marine.

Dental nurses and front desk staff receive structured training on a biannual basis, with sessions led by senior nurses to keep service and communication standards consistent across both clinics. Staff appraisals incorporate patient feedback, which is reviewed regularly to identify where service delivery can be improved.

Safe Surgical Practices

TWC Implant & Dental Center operates sterilisation protocols aligned with MOH guidelines for dental clinics. All instruments are processed through an autoclave sterilisation cycle between patients, and sterilisation records are maintained for each cycle. Single-use disposables are used for applicable procedure categories as standard practice.

Before any surgical procedure, the treating dentist conducts a structured medical history assessment covering current medications, known allergies, relevant comorbidities, and any conditions that may affect anaesthesia, healing, or treatment planning. Where a patient’s history requires clarification, the treating dentist will seek further information before proceeding, which may include contacting the patient’s primary care physician.

This assessment process directly shapes how each treatment plan is structured and what precautions are in place for that individual patient.

Dental Technology

The tools used at TWC are chosen for their practical application to the treatments offered at both clinics and their direct effect on patient comfort and treatment planning.

Cone Beam CT (CBCT) Imaging

CBCT scanning produces a three-dimensional image of the jaw, bone density, and surrounding anatomy. For implant cases, this allows the treating dentist to plan placement with precision before surgery begins and to produce a surgical guide where needed, reducing variability during the procedure.

Air Polishing System

The air polishing unit delivers a controlled stream of fine particles to remove staining and biofilm from surfaces that a standard scaler does not easily reach, including between teeth and below the gum margin. Patients generally find it more comfortable than conventional scaling for those areas.

Straumann® Dental Implant System

TWC uses the Straumann® Dental Implant System, which offers a range of dental implants in titanium and zirconia for biocompatibility and osseointegration. Straumann implants are available in various sizes and configurations, suitable for single-tooth, multiple-tooth, or full-arch restorations.
